10The finale

Final Exhibition & Blind Auction

See the work before you see the name.

The Museum of Courage exhibition artwork
02The idea

Across the START journey, every child quietly develops one deeply personal artwork — something that grows alongside them, changes with them and remains unseen by their family until the very end.

Then, on the final day, the studio becomes The Museum of Courage.

The works are exhibited anonymously. No names. No clues. No ‘this one is mine.’ Parents and guests encounter each piece simply as a work of art — responding first to what attracts them, surprises them or moves them.

Only then does the blind auction begin.

Families bid on the works without knowing which child created which piece. The artwork has to speak before the artist’s name does.

And when the bidding is over, the young artists are finally revealed.

It is a celebration of creativity, independence and the courage to make something truly your own — but also of learning to look without assumptions.

Because sometimes the most powerful way to see a child’s work is to forget, for a moment, whose child made it.

TEN WORKSHOPS. ONE SECRET WORK. ONE FINAL EXHIBITION. NO NAMES, NO CLUES — JUST THE COURAGE TO CREATE AND THE COURAGE TO CHOOSE WHAT MOVES YOU.

03How it unfolds

  1. 01

    CREATE

One artwork grows across the journey.

  2. 02

    KEEP IT SECRET

The final work stays unseen by the family until the exhibition.

  3. 03

    EXHIBIT ANONYMOUSLY

Every work is displayed without the young artist’s name.

  4. 04

    BID & REVEAL

Families choose what moves them first. The artists are revealed afterwards.

04A way of beginning

START doesn’t begin with buying more. It begins with seeing more in what you already have.
05What comes next

The auction is designed to give the children’s creativity a life beyond the exhibition. Proceeds support future creative opportunities and projects connected to the START community.
