Frida Kahlo turned her own life into a visual language. Her paintings are full of symbols, flowers, animals, memories, pain, pride and identity — but above all, they are unmistakably hers.

In this workshop, children explore how art can become a form of self-expression. A face does not have to be just a face. A flower can carry a memory. A colour can hold a feeling. A symbol can say something that is difficult to put into words.

Frida’s world also opens a door to Mexico — to its colours, plants, textiles, folk traditions and visual richness — showing children how personal identity can be shaped by place, culture and heritage without becoming imitation.

The focus is not on painting like Frida Kahlo. It is on understanding the courage behind her work: the confidence to show yourself as you are, to turn emotion into imagery, and to create something deeply personal without asking for permission.

It is also a workshop about strength — especially the kind of strength that comes from individuality, resilience and owning your own story.
